My Version of American Girl Doll Bed Knockoffs!

I love the American Girl Doll stuff but not so much their prices. After flipping through the latest AG magazine shopping for beds for my 3 Grandaughters, I got this idea that I could make a decent knockoff version.  I'm really bad about the before & after pics because I never know what I'm going to end up using!  In the following beds, I've used everything from wooden picture frames, old home interior items, door handles, metal trays, etc...ALL of the bedding is also repurposed from sweaters, pillows & more!  Hope you enjoy my little project...& maybe I will get some clothes made for that poor baby doll of mine! haha

Mom's Fence Remake!

This is my Mom & I standing in front of an old fence she had in her yard & was going to trash!  I rescued it, & with the help of hubby....we made some family 'heirlooms' to pass down to my kids to display the GK's pics!  OH...and that is Mom's Grandfather, Ulysses Grant Rudd's wagon wheel she is holding...priceless,

Burlap Headboard!

I saw this wonderful burlap headboard on pinterest & just luuuved it.  Here is my version done for about $10!  This was made from a broken out dresser mirror,home interior pieces,burlap & a faux pearl necklace!!!  Still a work in progress but getting there...oh,,,those mirrors are 1970's dark faux wood plastic painted white!!!

From dining room to office!

After realizing that we have used our dining room maybe, 5 times in 6 years....I decided I needed an office/craft space worse.  I just moved the DR table to make my desk and if we need to use it as a DR table again, it just moves out to the middle of the floor!

BEFORE & AFTER Project!

Wow! I see it's been awhile since I posted on my blog...but...I'm back now. Here is my latest "Before & After" project we did (hubby helped, too!)

This was an old 1950's dresser that I think I paid $25 for.

Added the silver handles...lived with that for awhile and then painted the outside only, white...added the bling to the top and wala...instant modern!!
